Good News for Luanda - Cabinda - Luanda

Anyone who is in Luanda or Cabinda agrees with me that it was never easy to travel between the two places.

It´s possible that some are asking, why is this?

Luanda is the capital of Angola and the distance between the two cities is about 800 kilometers, that is about 12 hours of driving and not only that, it is necessary to enter the Democratic Republic of Congo to access Cabinda.

Therefore, the most convenient mode of transport has always been air, which has always faced demand and supply challenges. Having another extra means of transport to both cities will be useful and people can now choose between air or sea at an affordable price.

So what's the good news? see below

Luanda and Cabinda will once again be connected by sea from Friday, with two weekly frequencies at a price of 30,000 Kwanzas.

These services will be operated by two vessels, one for passengers and the other for non-containerized cargo. The vessels will depart from the Port of Luanda passenger terminal at 7:30 am

Both vessels are from the company Sécil Marítima.

Taking note of the challenges many people face in accessing Cabinda, this is a bit of a relief and we anticipate a smooth operation.

Follow for more African stories and information mainly related to Tourism.

Thank you.
